I am an Alabama based artist who initially studied art and photography in college. After a brief break from school I returned to achieve my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of South Alabama with a focus in Print Journalism and a minor in Studio Art. I lean mostly toward oil paints, charcoal, and ink as my preferred mediums, but I have also spent a lot of time in other mediums like clay and digital illustrations.
I enjoy all types of art. I appreciate music, photography, film, sculpture, literature, glass, screen printing, anything that you can pour your soul into. I have a great appreciation for realism of the early 20th century, the baroque period, surrealism, the impressionists and to be honest the list could go on forever. I'm still discovering my style, but recently my style has been reminiscent of the limitless wonders of time and space, and I find myself returning to the desert often in my pieces. I enjoy the meditative peace that creating the shapes give me. I often include symbolism themes in my paintings, and I hope they make you think about the mysteriousness of life, death, time and all of the different ideologies throughout the world.
More than art I love my family and friends and being outside in the natural world. Those things have made my life happy, and without them I would be nothing and nowhere. I have an addiction to learn and create as much as I possibly can while I'm here, and I hope that my works tickle your fancies.
